Thursday, November 11, 20107 PM

Imagined by Calvary parishioner Charles Bretz, Jr., this program will convey a tapestry of recited poetry and chamber music-all in honor of American veterans.  Musicians will include clarinetist Sarah Todenhoft Demy, baritone Kelvin Chan, and Calvary's ensemble-in-residence, The Hannaford Piano Trio (Mari Thomas, violin; Susan Petersen, cello; Howard Helvey, piano).  The concert's poignant centerpiece will be the premiere of a newly-commissioned work, Letters Home (a song cycle for baritone and piano trio), by Cincinnati composer Richard Bitting.  Accompanying the program will be an art exhibition (November 11 - November 28) in Hannaford Hall curated by Mary Heider: A Shared Window: Art and Memorabilia from Veterans
